Incoming and outgoing text messages are automatically translated in real time, without the need to switch apps or manually copy translations.
Whatsapp has no native translation capabilities for text messages.
Chatting with someone in a different language requires you to jump between Whatsapp and another translation app, and go back-and-forth between these two apps, copying and pasting every message and its translation.
With EzDubs, you don’t have to worry about keeping 2 apps open - messages that you send and receive automatically get translated, so it feels like the whole conversation is happening in your language.
Although iMessage does benefit from iOS’ system-wide translation capability, this translation is not seamlessly integrated into the chat experience. Having a conversation in a different language on iMessage requires you to select the text of every message, hit the “Translate” button that pops up, and copy-and-paste that translation. Or, like Whatsapp, you would have to keep a dedicated translation app open in parallel, and keep jumping between these 2 apps for every message that you send and receive.
None of these hassles exist with EzDubs - we do all the translation for you automatically, in the background, so that you can focus on just reading and writing, in your own language.
Facebook Messenger does have a chat translation feature in some countries. However, this requires you to press and hold on every single message in order to translate it - incoming messages don’t automatically get translated unless you specifically request a translation. Similarly, outgoing messages don’t get automatically translated either - your recipient has to hit translate for every message you send them, making the experience slow and labor-intensive. Additionally, this feature is not available in all countries.
Again, EzDubs alleviates all these issues - incoming and outgoing messages get automatically translated without needing human intervention , making conversations snappy and natural.
Like Facebook Messenger, Telegram does have a built-in chat translator, but one that requires you to translate every message individually, which is time-consuming and bulky. Telegram does have a premium option that enables auto translation, but this is a paid feature. EzDubs has automatic chat translation turned on by default, and does not charge for this.
An ode to a bygone era. The SMS protocol has no in-built translation mechanism or support for add-ons that enable this. The only way to translate SMS messages is to keep a translation app open in parallel and jump between these 2 apps. Not only does EzDubs translate automatically, it operates over the internet and does not charge money per message, unlike SMS.
